When the energy is exhausted, do it for yourself.

When we are in trouble, when we want to give up and don't know what to do, our energy will always be exhausted quickly.

The brain keeps searching for solutions, but in the end, what we get is not a road, but a wall-a wall higher than before thinking.

  Why is this happening?

Why at certain moments, the harder you work, the more you can't find a way out?

  1.

We all know that solving problems requires motivation. And all the motivation comes from emotions.

When we can't achieve our goals, the frustration, anxiety and pain we feel are always urging us to move forward.

Emotion is very important. Without it, we can't act.

But the paradox of this world is that emotions often hinder our actions.

Because the essence of every emotion is actually a signal of action. This kind of action signal often has nothing to do with the problem we need to solve, but automatically executes some primitive desire stored in the depths of our brain.

For example, whenever people feel anxious, many people will relieve it by eating.

They are not hungry, but guided by emotions-or, strictly speaking, by emotions that have not been practiced and will only take instinctive actions.

Whenever we feel that we have been treated unfairly, it is always difficult for us to avoid the impulse to attack others. Even if we are bound by the default friendly rules in interpersonal relationships, it is easy to hide the attack in the hints behind the language. There are even other more "vicious" practices that often appear: spreading rumors behind your back just because you are jealous.

This is all the power of emotion. It is also the reason why we run out of energy in our emotions-we constantly deviate from our goals or constantly resist such actions.

  This is not the worst.

  The worst state is:

When we are too immersed in emotions, we will turn energy from positive to negative.

For example, if we meet a difficult job and choose to overeat, it will not only help us solve the problem, but also bring new obesity problems and even give up on ourselves.

Then, what should we do when the actions guided by our emotions can't help us achieve our goals, or even are far from them?

In this case, the most important thing for a person is actually to stop asking yourself:

  What should I do?

  2.

Because when we start asking "what should I do", we will start to feel anxious almost immediately.

What you want but can't get is an emotional button, and the brain automatically turns on and off carrots and sticks, so that you can try your best to achieve your goals.

Carrots mean rewards, and you will hope, desire and pursue.

A big stick means punishment, and you will be miserable, anxious and sad.

Your mood will last for a long time until you can solve the problem.

But as mentioned above, our emotions often lead us to the wrong direction of action.

Therefore, instead of thinking about what I should do, it is wiser to think about how to free myself from the current mood.

That's why people often say, when things happen, solve the emotions first, and then solve the things.

The way to solve things is to work hard on things.

The way to solve the emotion is to move yourself away from the emotional object and do something else-anything, even doing nothing.

Of course, this kind of idleness may make you feel scared and think that you can't solve the problem without hard work.

But the truth is just the opposite. You can only find the key to the door if you take your attention away from the problem.

  3.

You know, in the place of "what should I do", you can't find "what should I do".

As Marx said, "If the expression form of things is directly integrated with the essence of things, all science will become redundant. 」

If the solution to the problem at this moment lies in the problem itself, we don't have to seek knowledge anymore, and then we can find the real connection between things through learning.

When taking a bath, walking, and focusing on the activities that are not related to the problem at this moment, suddenly there will be a moment when we feel "blessed to the soul." What I couldn't figure out before, immediately emerged a clear path.

What makes you feel wonderful is that this path has already been in your life.

You just wonder why you didn't find out until now.

But in fact, this is how the brain works.

It will start roaming mode when it is empty, and associations will continue to occur. From the beginning to the end, from the individual to the general, from the phenomenon to the essence, and then inadvertently find the key to open the door.

  4.

Moving yourself away from the immediate problem has another important significance, that is, letting yourself switch states. This can help you "open the flow channel of energy".

Your life needs some empty moments, just as day needs night and night needs day.

The unchanging "attack" makes us feel safe and feel that we are working hard. But it also means stopping and blocking.

Change is a contradictory state, and we are born with contradictions. But contradiction means mobility.

Contradiction is unity of opposites. That is, the opposite existence, unified in the flow. From east to west, from south to north, from children to adults, from day to night.

We all know that once the energy of the body stops, it means death.

And once the spiritual energy stops, the same is true.

Therefore, when you feel exhausted, you might as well let go of your obsession with "What should I do" and ask yourself another question:

What can I do to switch my state?

If you are nervous, then choose to relax; If you are thoughtful, then choose to empty; If something is difficult, then choose a simple thing to do.

From the desk to the door, from being quiet alone to having a long talk with your lover and friends; Or just from being busy to doing nothing.

When you learn to switch States, you open the channel of energy flow.

Or rather: opening the energy channel is the premise for negative emotions to subside and inspiration to solve problems to emerge.

Flow means vitality, which means that you re-integrate yourself into this endless world, receive its endless energy, and then let yourself continue to harvest and grow.

You know, you have never "invented" the solution to the problem.

You just "found" the solution to the problem.

Find it in nature, find it in experience, not in problems.
