　　On August 2nd, the opening ceremony of the second phase of laboratory biosafety training in Hebei Province was held in Hebei North University and Hebei Engineering University. Liu Dengfeng, inspector of the Science and Education Department of the National Health and Wellness Commission, Jiang Jianming, first-class inspector of the Health and Wellness Commission of Hebei Province, Liu Lin, director of the Science and Technology Education and International Cooperation Department, and responsible comrades of the training base of Hebei North University attended the opening ceremony in the local area; Liu Zhijun, member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee and Vice President of Hebei University of Engineering, Han Wei, Deputy Director of Handan Health and Wellness Committee, Tian Feng, Dean of Medical College of Hebei University of Engineering, and Ma Tenghe, Vice President attended the opening ceremony at Hebei University of Engineering. 　　Liu Dengfeng, inspector of the Science and Education Department of the National Health and Wellness Commission, hopes that through this training, the management level and technical ability of laboratory biosafety talents will be effectively improved, and the training of laboratory biosafety talents will be strengthened to prevent and resolve laboratory biosafety risks.

　　Jiang Jianming, the first-class inspector of the Health and Wellness Committee of Hebei Province, put forward specific requirements and hopes for the construction of training bases and students' learning.

　　In his speech, Liu Zhijun, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Hebei University of Engineering, vice president and secretary of the affiliated hospital, expressed heartfelt thanks to the leaders and experts who have supported the work of Hebei University of Engineering and the Medical Department for a long time, and introduced the general situation of Hebei University of Engineering and the overall situation of the Medical Department. I hope this training can play a positive role in promoting the biosafety capacity building in our province and improving the biosafety management level of laboratories.

　　It is understood that this year, a total of 215 people from the province participated in the training, including 108 from Hebei University of Engineering and 107 from Hebei North University. This training will highlight the practicality. Students will complete six courses in one month, namely, introduction to laboratory biosafety, laboratory risk management, laboratory facilities and equipment, laboratory operation specifications, laboratory safe operation management and laboratory probation. By combining theoretical training with practical operation, and guided by the problems and needs in the actual work of biological laboratories, the management level and technical ability of laboratory biosafety will be improved.

　　It is reported that Hebei University of Engineering is a key backbone university in Hebei Province, a university jointly established by the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Water Resources, a first-class domestic university supported by Hebei Province, and a civilized unit in Hebei Province with complete disciplines. At present, the Medical Center of Hebei University of Engineering offers five undergraduate majors: clinical medicine, nursing, medical laboratory technology, rehabilitation therapy and medical imaging technology. It has 1 affiliated hospital and 4 non-affiliated affiliated hospitals, all of which are Grade III and Grade A general hospitals. It shoulders the dual responsibilities of cultivating talents for the country and providing technical support for regional economic development.

　　Tian Feng, Dean of the School of Medicine of Hebei University of Engineering, said that he would take the training base construction as an opportunity to increase communication and cooperation with hospitals and CDC, speed up the transformation and upgrading of social service functions of universities, and strive to build a high-standard laboratory bio-safety talent training base based on management level and technical ability.
